FORBIDDEN QUESTIONS

What was the most expensive thing you have recieved from an admirer?
I usually get handwritten letters bundled with their pictures. I’m not a materialistic type of person and I think they all know that. But if the price tag was being considered, it would be an authentic CD of my favorite band. And yes, with her letter and pic in it. [laughs]

Part of your body they find most attractive?
Eyes. I dunno why. I’m near-sighted.

Have you ever been rejected by a girl?
So far, nope and I highly doubt it would ever happen.

Do you stalk?

Nope.

Are you an overprotective boyfriend?
I used to be. {I was too young pa at that time} But I learned that being lenient is much more comfortable stand to maintain. [coz you don't have to IMPOSE anything! haha!]

Have you ever cheated on a girl?
Noperz. but-an man ko. Haha!

Worst/Cheapest gift you’ve given to a crush
It was her birthday at that time and I forgot to bring the cute bag worth more than a hundred dollars I was planning to give her. Now, baller bands were still the fad at that time and I was selling them for 20php after buying them from CHEAP [some ambulant vendor from my HS] for 15php. Anyways, since I had nothing else with me, I went to her and greeted her a "Happy Birthday [name censored]"  She was a girl and I reckoned she didn’t know the difference between the overpriced authentic one and a cheap rip-off and so I gave it to her. After that, I walked back to my room since the bell just rang for the next class. Lunch time came and I was there hawking my goods and shouting, "BALLER ID tag 20! barato lang" and when I turned to my left she was there passing by. I’m not sure but I think I saw her quickly taking it off and hiding it. I went back to my classroom and I couldn’t help but laugh to myself because I just gave someone something cheap and making her think it was expensive. Thinking back, it wasn’t actually a bad gift… It WAS a baller! <-haha!

Type of girl
Physical attraction counts - I’d be lying if I said it didn’t.
Intellectual capacity - Anyone who cannot impress me with her brains is definitely off the list.
Simple girls catch my eye.  I’m not after the ones who would do ANYTHING to attract EVERYONE’s attention.

Ever had a crush on a teacher?
hm… yeah. haha!

If you ran for senator and won, what would you do?

Bills for alternative energy resources (solar, wind) to reduce energy dependence from other countries and to help the environment.
Further improve education to give the people a higher chance to a better future. Those who are not that good in terms of intellectual capacity will be offered technical know how programs (vocational stuff)
Encourage entrepreneurship. From small to big businesses… Strengthen FILIPINO products so that the stigma against local stuff will gradually disappear and to further enhance our economic activities.

White Cab

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

Er… no!

This is not a pun of some pizza place.

Let me start this boring narrative.

Taxi colors differ all around the world.
Hong Kong cabs are mostly colored red. New York has the signature yellow cab but here in the Philippines, taxis are usually colored white with that yellow colored plate.

The past few days, I have been hailing cabs here and there to take me to our new campus IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!!!

Talk about inconvenience.

With a flag down rate of 30php, I usually spend an average of 70php for a ride towards my school from our place.

Ehem… That’s like 70 percent of my daily allowance. (Thank God I don’t spend money on food these days because my classes are after lunch.) <- haha! you know na pila ako allowance.

Taxi drivers come in a variety of personalities.

Some hardly say a word, others say something every now and then but the best ones are those who you can talk about practical things.

They can make an otherwise mundane journey quite interesting.
It’s like, "whoah! I didn’t know that"

But the moment you start enjoying the conversation, the next thing you see from the window is your destination.

After handing the fare and thanking the cab driver for driving me to my destination, I say to myself,"I guess it’s time to go."

I take a bus and 2 jeepneys on my way home.

*I SHOULD get a car najud uy! layo ayung skwelahana. yawn! hehe…

When Heroes Call

Monday, April 9th, 2007

The definition of a hero can become pretty vague.
Those working along the fine line between black and white often find themselves standing in the gray part.
What’s good and what’s bad is blurred in this seemingly uncharted area.
Heroes are forged in times of despair. When nobody else had the courage or determination to stand up to the massive wall of affliction staring down, these men and women stood tall.
Conquering the adversary…
Saying no to the flags of surrender
But those celebrated and glorified by the masses got lucky (should I use that word?) enough to be heralded as one.
Countless others receive no acknowledgement
and to those heroes:
"I raise my glass to you!!!"
